Be sure you have enough room in your case. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I LOVE the RGB lightbar that runs along the cooler.Ĭons: -Couldn't buy before tariffs, so had to pay more than I originally thought. I consider it a person W that I got this thing at MSRP. It'll run anything under the sun on max settings. My card shipped without with ugly red lip which was an added bonus I have had no problems with this card whatsoever. And I was lucky enough to snag this baby one evening just randomly refreshing on Newegg and boy am I glad I got this one! FTW3 Ultra is top of the line without a doubt. The frustration of not getting a GPU is real and I must admit my patience was wearing thin so in the end I never really had a particular 3080 card in mind, it was get what you can.

Overall Review: I waited patiently for my 3080 for close to 2 months after I had the rest of my brand new 2020 build ready and just sitting there waiting for a GPU. If you are too concerned about the weight and GPU sag, you can get a vertical support bracket for it.

People complain about the massive RGB strip on the card but honestly it looks really cool and if it bothers you, Precision X1 software can be used to disable it completelyĬons: Slightly on the heavier side because of the massive cooler but that is really not a con. Pros: - Runs exceptionally cool and quiet with great OC support Even if it meant saying goodbye to the great looks and little extra performance. If I had to choose between this and a cheaper model. You won't be disappointed by the performance or look of this card at all. That said, 750w is plenty and was more than fine for me. It's not suprising though as this card needs a lot of power. My only other issues (and I'm really just nit picking) are the fact the card runs warm, and while it's a testament to the efficiency of the cooler, my case felt like a mini heater next to me. (If you go for this card over other cheaper models, I'll assume you also care a bit more about aesthetics, in which case I highly recommend some custom sleeved cables). (I was unfortunately unable to use it with my Phanteks P400A-DRGB case) in my case though, it sits straight up without it.Īs for the power connectors, it's a shame you need 3x 8 PIN as that third connector really looks bad with my stock PSU cables. The build is very solid and the card is fairly heavy, although it came with a sag bracket in the box which should help if necessary. They aren't totally silent, but they're quiet enough that in games with just speakers, I'm not bothered by them. The fans are all individually controllable (using EVGA's Precision X1 software) and gives a good level of control. Good impression so far! I use a 165hz 1440p monitor and some of those games maxed out my monitor specs with this GPU! Witcher 3, Minecraft RTX, Outer Worlds, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, DOOM Eternal.

I ran the latest drivers (457.30 at the time) and experienced no issues in a variety of games. Without even trying to overclock I run at a consistent 2115mhz, this was over a short 20 minute run so it'll likely drop over time, but considering this was stable with no crashes or stutters, I'm very impressed!
